Shape Of Man
by Cindy Pitts
Can you believe the shape of this country
Can you believe the shape of man
Maybe it’s just a silly phase passing through
Hitchin’ a ride to the state I’m in
Easy to hide behind your closed doors
Easy to hide behind a painted smile
When will be learn to survive with an open heart
Open to see through the eyes of a child
I want to walk in the wind and summer rain
I want to live my life in the sun
We are only tiny embryos
Floating in the Ocean sky
Never you mind, humans got a ways to go
Never you mind, we’re encased in these clouds
But when the thunderhead breaks and the rain pours
We’ll be dancing and singing out loud
I want to walk in the wind and summer rain
I want to live my life in the sun
We are only tiny embryos
Floating in the Ocean sky
