Miss My Mississippi
by Cindy Pitts
Miss my Mississippi something bad
Left my home for a dream I had
But I clean forgot what I’m doin’ here in this town
Tides are changing, comes and goes
Everybody’s movin’ while I’m spinnin’ around
Guess I’ll never be content to be still
Grass is greener right over that hill
But it’s a long climb and my car is broke down
Make me some money, enough to leave town
I’ll be movin’ while the world is spinnin’ around
Ya told me you love me, that’s just fine
I’d like to know if I’ve been wastin’ my time
Cause it’s a hard climb and there’s so much love to be found
I will see you wherever I go
We’ll be movin’ while the world is spinnin’ around
Miss my Mississippi something bad
Left my home for a dream I had
But I clean forgot what I’m doin’ here in this town
Tides are changing, comes and goes
Everybody’s movin’ while the world’s spinnin’ around
Tides are changing, comes and goes
Everybody’s movin’ while the world’s spinnin’ around
Spinnin’ around
Spinnin’ around
