| Cindy is a singer/songwriter with a beautiful voice, a
natural melodic style and poetic lyrics. Her songs reflect many styles
including: folk, jazz, country, rock, pop, funk and others. When interacting
with an audience her musical spontaneity often yields wonderful and humorous
moments. She is a gifted singer, songwriter and performer.
“I have always had music in me. I have dreams in music. It makes me very sensitive to music on an emotional level. When I hear music that moves me I have a strong desire to reciprocate, to touch others as I have been touched”. She performs solo as well as with friends, preferring to avoid smoky bars and late night gigs. She has performed in coffee houses, festivals, restaurants, churches, weddings and art openings as well as on local radio and TV. Cindy was the "Voicescape" for Johnson/Long Dance Company performances where she has rendered everything from garden sounds, to ethnic rhythms and Gregorian chants. For over a decade she has played at Kerrville Folk Festival campfires. With a big black & red hoopskirt and a feather boa, Cindy’s first full-time job was as “Miss Kitty” singing and dancing at the Saloon Show at a family tourist attraction called 8 Flags over Biloxi. During High School she was in concert choir and the madrigal choir. She has sung in various musicals including “Rainbow Jones” and “Hair”. Cindy grew up in Long Beach, Mississippi, lived in Connecticut for a
few years and has been living in Austin, Texas for about 15 years.
